First Impressions of the Logitech Pebble 2 Combo
2 min readWhether you’re a student or setting up a home office, having a keyboard is a practical necessity. Opting for wireless keyboards makes sense due to their portability and space-saving features.
Logitech has expanded its product lineup with the launch of the Pebble 2 Combo, which includes the Pebble Keys 2 K380S keyboard and the Pebble Mouse 2 M350S. Priced at Rs 4,495, this wireless keyboard-mouse combination is available in Blue, Graphite, Rose, Sand, and White color options. After using the Pebble 2 Combo for a few days, here are our initial impressions.
Design
The Logitech Pebble 2 Combo comprises a lightweight and easily portable membrane keyboard paired with a mouse. This wireless keyboard-mouse duo features an appealing and ergonomic design, constructed from recycled plastic with a rounded aesthetic.
The Logitech Pebble Keys 2 K380S keyboard is conveniently compact, making it easy to handle and portable in a bag, fitting seamlessly into limited desk spaces. With a sleek design and membrane keys, the keyboard includes 10 functional keys and boasts a three-year battery life.
The Pebble Mouse 2 M350S boasts a stylish and minimalistic design, providing a comfortable grip for users and ensuring easy usability. Positioned at the back, the mouse features two switches – one for toggling power and the other for connecting to multiple devices through specific presses. Additionally, the mouse comes with a two-year battery life.
Set-up and performance
Setting up the wireless keyboard and mouse combination with your Mac or Windows device is a simple process. Activate Bluetooth on your device, ensure the keyboard and mouse are powered on, and have two AAA batteries installed. The Pebble 2 Combo is compatible with Windows, macOS, iPadOS, Chrome OS, and Android, providing versatile connectivity options for pairing with PCs, laptops, tablets, and smartphones.
The Pebble 2 Combo membrane keyboard delivers a nearly silent typing experience, featuring keys that allow for smooth gliding. With 10 functional keys and Silent Touch Technology to minimize click noise, the keyboard incorporates auto-sleep and power-saving modes. The mouse, with its compact, round, and sleek design, ensures easy handling. The keyboard-mouse combo supports Bluetooth pairing across three devices. While the typing experience is akin to a regular membrane keyboard, the absence of a kickstand could pose challenges for certain users.
What we think
The Pebble wireless mouse and keyboard combination offers the aesthetics and features commonly desired in a budget-friendly keyboard. However, it’s crucial to acknowledge that membrane keyboards, like the one in the Logitech Pebble 2 Combo, tend to have lower long-term durability compared to mechanical counterparts. The Logitech Pebble 2 Combo stands out as a viable choice for those in search of an economical wireless keyboard-mouse duo. In our preliminary testing, we found the performance to be quite satisfactory. Stay tuned for our in-depth review to assess whether the Combo sustains its performance with extended use.
