Perfect Dark is getting rebooted and it’s set in a near-future Cairo.
Microsoft has recently showcased the first gameplay of the new Perfect Dark game. It has been four years since we first learned about its development. The game is a reboot of the original Perfect Dark and is being created by The Initiative and Crystal Dynamics. In the gameplay trailer, we catch a glimpse of the protagonist, Joanna Dark, in a futuristic Cairo setting. The development team took inspiration from the first two games but built a completely new story and universe for this reboot. Perfect Dark is a first-person shooter game where you play as a secret agent. It will offer a single-player experience with a specific number of missions. You will have choices in how you complete these missions, and there will be various gadgets available to help you along the way. The trailer hints at a gadget that can analyze NPC voices and create realistic imitations, allowing you to create distractions or bypass security systems. As of now, Microsoft has not provided a release date or timeframe for Perfect Dark.
